Starting Up With Baquacil

Make sure to vacuum and brush the walls. Backwash the filter (you may need to change out your sand). Start with a clean pool.

1. Uncover the pool. Clean and store cover.

2. Refill the pool, and if needed check the liner for any leaks tears that may have occured. Hook up your filter and pump if it was stored for the winter.

*TIP: Make sure to use Baquacil Filter Cleaner to remove calcium deposits from the sand (or just change your sand every year).

3. Adjust the water balance into the ranges below:

- pH= 7.2-7.8

- Alkalinity= 80-150

- Calcium Hardness= 180-250

4. If you have an unpainted plaster pool use one full dose of Baquacil Metal Control

5. Top off your Baquacil Sanitizer and Algistat level to 50ppm.

6. Add 4 oz. of Baquacil Algicide, or Baquacil Preformance Algicide if you have frequent algae problems, per 10,000 gallons of water.

7. Add 1 gallon of Baquacil Shock and Oxidizer per 10,000 gallons.
